We are very proud to bring you some exciting news! We walked away with the title of ‘Small Business of the Year’ following an evening of glitz and glamour at the Burnley Business Awards.

The special event celebrates all that is best about the Burnley business community. The awards night took place on the 20th of June at the stunning surroundings of Towneley Hall. It was organised by Burnley Council and the Burnley Bondholder Brand Scheme to promote Burnley’s business success and the borough’s booming economic infrastructure.

With strong local roots and a commitment to our region, this was an appropriate event for us to be involved with as we celebrate 10 years in business and set our sights on even greater things for the future. We are committed to our customers and to our region, always welcoming the opportunity to get involved with local projects. As demand for our services increase and our business grows, so too does our ambition to have a positive impact on our community.

We were named as finalists in two categories, The Apprenticeship Scheme of the Year and The Small Business of the Year and were honoured to see our names beside some other very strong local companies. We were delighted to win ‘Small Business of the Year’ in the 20 – 49 employees category.

Speaking about the ceremony, Chris Speakman said they were they were in a tough category and were delighted when they were even shortlisted as finalists. He was absolutely thrilled when their name was called out.

“This awards means a lot to all of us at Speakman Contractors. Our team are totally committed and do an outstanding job on every project we deliver. Winning this is recognition and acknowledgement of that dedication. It’s a proud moment for us all. Thank you to our customers for their continued support and to our staff for all their hard work.”
