Executive Team

Andrew Speakman - Joint Managing Director

Andrew was the founding director of Speakman Joinery Ltd before it merged with Speakman Electrical Services Ltd to form Speakman Contractors in 2009. Andrew gained his industry experience through a traditional apprenticeship excelling in joinery and building services. He uses his drive to succeed and leadership skills to motivate the whole team to ensure the business meets its targets in both quality and management.

Christopher Speakman - Joint Managing Director

Chris was the founding director of Speakman Electrical Services Ltd before it merged with Speakman Joinery Ltd to form Speakman Contractors. Also like his brother, Chris started in the industry through the traditional apprenticeship route. Since the 1990s, Chris has developed his career through continued training to keep himself and the business at the forefront of industry changes.

Emma Speakman - Company Secretary

Emma was formerly the Company Secretary of Speakman Joinery Ltd before it was merged with Speakman Electrical Services Ltd to form Speakman Contractors. Emma, who heads up our finance department, is very experienced in the construction sector and is responsible for improving revenue, cost reduction and growth. Emma also manages our administration team and promotes a highly organised approach and close attention to detail.

Andy Kershaw - Commercial Director

Andy is a hard working professional with over 15 years experience in the industry. He has a proven track record of delivering customer-focused solutions, on time and within budget, to companies of various sizes and in many different sectors. It is this experience, together with Andy’s drive, determination and personality that makes him such an asset to the team and popular with suppliers and customers alike.

Installation team

We know that the quality of service we offer is due to the hard work and dedication of the people who deliver it. Indeed, we know that our people are our greatest asset. Our mission is to deliver high quality, cost-effective projects, safely and on schedule by employing, supporting and retaining a skilled and motivated team of professionals.

We are very fortunate to have a diverse team of qualified, skilled, motivated and time-served individuals who support each other as a team and take pride in their work. We do all we can to support our staff to achieve their career aspirations and to ensure that they continually update and refresh their skills.

Working in partnership with Burnley College, we support local, young talent and regularly employ a team of apprentices. Our investment in these apprentices is an investment in the future success of our business and in maintaining high quality workmanship in the UK construction industry.
